Humber Heritage Metal Detecting is a relaxed, responsible community of detectorists across Hull and East Yorkshire with a shared interest in local history, heritage, and respectful detecting.
Humber Heritage Metal Detecting was established to create a responsible and welcoming club for detectorists across the Humber region and East Yorkshire.
Whether you are completely new to metal detecting or have years of experience, responsible and respectful hobbyists are welcome.
We aim to create a relaxed club environment centred around local heritage, organised digs, and respectful relationships with landowners.
We promote proper hole recovery, respect for farmland and livestock, PAS recording, and responsible historical preservation.
Humber Heritage focuses on smaller organised detecting events rather than large commercial rallies.
“Metal detecting is at its best when history, community, and responsible land access all work together.”
Humber Heritage Metal DetectingWe are committed to maintaining a responsible and trustworthy reputation with landowners and local communities.
Landowner trust is extremely important to us. All members are expected to treat permissions respectfully and follow club guidance while attending events.
We encourage responsible finds recording and proper reporting under the Treasure Act and Portable Antiquities Scheme.
Humber Heritage aims to create a friendly, welcoming environment built around shared enjoyment of the hobby and local history.
